Men

Modern Americans—those living in large metropolitan cities; certainly modern Europeans; and most especially modern women of almost every stripe—have no understanding of men. Ordinary, civilized people in 2026 seldom have any grasp of what it means to be a man as opposed to being male. In their minds, an adult male is a man.

What most folk regard as a man, based on that ideal they hold in their crippled, mislead, or cowed minds is merely a shadow of a man. They imagine or look at the thin and soft or pudgy, fat, hunched, deferential, apologetic or ingratiating, mousy things walking around in metro-men’s or slacker’s clothing and imagine them to be men. But they’re laughably wrong and, sadly, they’ll probably never admit to or even recognize their error. The lab-grown males they’re accustomed to seeing and interacting with and most comfortable with bear no resemblance to men.

Few males are men. Men are something apart. Men are something significantly more.

A man is compelling in appearance and manner. Beautiful or ugly; young or aged; muscular or wiry; happy or angry; gregarious or withdrawn…he commands your consideration. His confidence may be palpable or relaxed, but obvious. Even at first glance, you know you don’t want to disregard him, ignore him, or anger or cross him in any way. The weak-minded think, that asshole can handle himself. The intelligent think, that’s a disciplined and focused, maybe dangerous guy. Their wives and girlfriends think, holy fuck, what a man! But few if any regard him in a truly positive light. In their minds, he’s clearly too full of himself and/or too potentially aggressive for a civilized world. Modern times don’t need such men; such beasts.

Every one of them is wrong.

Women can be thin or hunched or pudgy or fat or deferential or apologetic or mousy… not that these are ideal traits, but it doesn’t break the world. When a male is any of these things, it creates a destructive and embarrassing moral hole in the fabric of society that may or may not be repaired by the responsible manliness of other men. Men are not optional. Men are nothing short of the foundation of a moral, peaceful, sustainable society.

The absence or exclusion of men breaks the world.

As to the appearance and manner of men, there is no one template. Men come in all shapes and sizes, but each is unmistakably a man as compared to mere males. But being men, their appearance and manner exudes manliness (which is why I’m touching on this conspicuous point). The 5’6” wiry man appears as much a man to all as the 6’5” hulk of muscle—provided each is possessed of a moral core, proper upbringing and grounding, cool confidence, clear purpose. and manly formidability that no book or pretense can offer up. And yes, the unmistakable potential for startling violence is common to all men and their appearance and manner will in some way always allude to this quality (which is why broken women and snowflake males hate and fear men).

As for violence, broken, corrupted, and weak-minded people regard it as something bad; something evil. Men rightly regard violence as merely a tool. As such, violence is just one more thing a man must master if he is to meet his masculine responsibilities. Not a goal or an idiom, violence is every man’s province and, sadly, often becomes necessary in the compulsories of a good man’s life. A man meets that responsibility with dutiful study and continual practice. And that practice leaves tangible evidence that is feared by the weakest and most evil who encounter him.

Men, strong in character and confidence, regard violence as not generally the first or last option but precisely the proper option at the proper time. Weak people, women especially, employ violence haphazardly and irresponsibly, and typically at the wrong moment and in obtuse severity. Violence wielded by those who are weak of mind, body, or character is seldom chosen or executed properly. And as the vast majority of violence in modern society is thus wielded, it contributes to the degradation of our societies and our world.

The absence of men’s respect for violence breaks the world.

When genuine men are excluded and demonized in facets of society, things break down and deteriorate into a diminished or demolished state; things like households, churches, businesses, local and federal governments. Even whole nations. The modern deliberate and systematic exclusion and demonization of genuine men has delivered us a world where mostly lesser “men” remain; males who lack the proper character, ability, strength, and facility of leadership. That vacuum of proper masculinity and leadership means that households lay in shambles, sons grow up without a father, churches have female pastors, corporations have women or subservient men in the executive. Today, governments are populated with weak and therefore conniving and sniveling males and females who, operating from a position of fear and weakness, act stupidly and obtusely to address motivations irrelevant to their station. They do little beyond protecting their status and position in the advantageously dysfunctional bureaucracy. The inescapable result is zero leadership and zero accountability.

Genuine men don’t entertain these irrelevancies because they operate from a position of strength and mutual respect, which allows them to work without pause for agenda or apology for their moral, masculine approach. Men working together in this manner hold each other accountable, which clears out the incapable and immoral and which keeps things going in the proper direction under actual leadership.

Men are the leaders. Without genuine men, there remains no leadership, and the absence of men’s leadership breaks the world.

Women need to depend on men and must depend on men for all the things in which a man must be dependable if the world is to work properly. There is an objective, proper province of men, just as there is an objective, proper province of women. When these facts are denied and when there is a socially engineered dearth of men, women begin to act inappropriately, pseudo-masculinely, destructively, and self-destructively. You can see this in every facet of society today. You are living the inevitable results of the exclusion, maligning, and the non-cultivation of men.

When masculinity is admired, respected, and relied upon, femininity flowers and women’s lives are greatly enriched by respect, peace, safety, and more assurance. With this foundation of society properly ordered, happiness becomes easier for us to find and sustain. Thus, the vital components and mechanisms of society find their balance, and the world becomes a happier and more peaceful place. But without masculinity and femininity finding proper respect and articulation, everything crumbles.

The absence of masculine men breaks the world.

Men should be men and society should respect and rely upon masculinity and masculine, genuine leadership. Should, but it is seldom so. “Toxic masculinity” remains a valid label in the minds of far too many people, most especially in the minds of those who attempt to order our societies. And until they begin to hold men and masculinity in high regard and to step aside in favor of genuine men, their every attempt at ordering society will be disastrous. Again. Still.

If you are a young man or adult male, it is your solemn moral responsibility to cultivate masculine qualities in yourself and your fellow men. The world needs your strength, skill at violence, learned mind, moral core, stoic and resolute character, clear purpose, and dependable leadership. It is not enough to be male and to pretend at male things. The world needs men. Women need men. Sons and daughters need men. Churches need men. Corporations need men. Governments need men. Because the absence of men breaks the world.
