The Scorpion and the Frog

You started prepping years ago. You began stockpiling a little food, supplies, pharmaceuticals, perhaps even guns and ammunition. Maybe it’s a huge stockpile now or maybe you’ve got just a little put away in case of a temporary economic or supply-chain crunch.

Every time a new President is elected, though, you modify your habits and concerns. One President inspires you to double down on your preparations while another convinces you there’s little or no need for worry.

When you decide to learn ham radio skills to expand your emergency comms ability, and purchase new equipment to complement your other preparation, your son or your spouse or your mother shakes their head. After all, you’ve been preparing for trouble for a long time, and nothing cataclysmic has happened. What is all this stuff for?

You formed a mutual-support group with some responsible, skilled, good friends. You established conventions for emergency response, communications, maybe even for local evacuation. But that was all quite a while ago. There’s been no need. There’s been no emergency. It’s all a waste of time, clearly.

You’re overreacting.

The markets are fine.

No one is trying to take your guns.

No one wants to put you in a federal gulag.

No one wants to forcibly experiment on you and your children.

Well, they're trying to destroy the markets every day and they're beginning to succeed. There are at any time more than a dozen gun-grabbing pieces of legislation worming their way through state and federal legislatures. Dozens of your countrymen are currently being held in federal gulags under horrible conditions all for having committed no crimes other than voicing and demonstrating defiance to tyranny; and there are more massive federal gulags sitting empty this very moment just waiting to be populated by the State's enemies. And the past two years make clear the demands and force that the State will bring to bear against you and your children to submit to medical experimentation.

What hasn’t changed is the totalitarian State’s unquenchable thirst for domination and control. What hasn’t changed is the totalitarian State’s complete saturation of the federal government. Even after Donald Trump—whom many saw as one who would turn the government and the nation around; who would “drain the swamp” and restore lost liberties—was elected, he was only able to succeed as far as the totalitarian State allowed. And they violated every facet of the US Constitution to stop a huge complement of Trump’s efforts toward defending our borders and protecting individual liberty…and they got away with it. All while the Marxist media ensured that few Americans learned of his positive accomplishments and instead fed the nation a continual river of malicious, slanderous lies and destructive demagoguery. And high-profile opponents—with the help of the totalitarian State—fabricated a treasonous hoax against him, which constitutes the gravest crime yet committed in our country, and were ultimately exposed, …and they got away with it. And the totalitarian State has never stopped pursuing him and his family with baseless legal attacks meant to destroy his life and income.

All of that is just ONE example with one individual who tried to undo the work of the communists who run every facet of US government. There are many others. The totalitarian State has imprisoned those who demonstrated defiance to tyranny. The totalitarian State has murdered people who demonstrated defiance to tyranny. They do these things all the time and they always get away with it and they always will until all of them are wiped from the face of the earth.

It is their nature. Their nature does not change.

The totalitarian State will NEVER decide to change. They will never concede victory to anyone else, and they needn’t because they’re winning. They win 9 days out of 10 and most of their victories are hidden from view.

They can be defeated. They’re evil, they’re malicious, and they are legion, but they require submission and when enough people demonstrate that they will not submit, it throws a bright light on their tyrannical nature and evil aims. Doing that en masse helps to level the playing field, but the playing field will ALWAYS be tipped in their favor because they control all of society’s institutions, all of the courts, and all of the significant armed forces.

But to defeat them, even after they’ve been completely exposed to even the willfully ignorant, the battles will be awful, the repercussions terrible, and the times very lean and very hard. It is therefore a huge mistake for any of us to cease preparation or revert to dependency or helplessness merely because a hot civil war hasn’t started already.

In whatever form it takes, it WILL come. It must come; not because of who we are and what we’re doing, but because the nature of the totalitarian State is the same as the nature of the scorpion. It must be true to its nature, and it always will be. Until it is destroyed.
